Honey, Make Life Prettier

My life has gone through so much change in the last 8 years, but especially in the past year. God has been doing a work in me and preparing me for something, but I never could pin point exactly what it was to be. God is humorous like that….He gives us one piece at a time and never really shows us the big picture. He just wants us to trust Him with the outcome and have the faith and obedience to take the step each and every day. It started as a simple phrase that God kept putting on my heart, and somewhere along the way, it has become a motto for how I want to live.

To me, making life prettier isn’t about perfection. It isn’t about having the prettiest house, the perfect outfit, fresh flowers on the table every day, or a life that looks flawless on social media.

It’s about noticing the little things that make an ordinary day feel special.

It’s adding a touch of pink just because it makes you smile. Setting the table even when no one is coming over. Putting on the lipstick. Sending the encouraging text. Celebrating something that might seem small to everyone else. Creating a home, a business, a friendship, or a moment that feels welcoming, joyful, and unmistakably you.

Sometimes making life prettier means adding something beautiful.

And sometimes it means bringing a little more kindness, confidence, laughter, encouragement, or grace into a place that needs it.

I believe beauty can be more than something we see. It can be something we create for other people. It can be the way we make someone feel included. The way we encourage a friend to believe in herself. The way we turn an everyday gathering into a memory. The way we choose joy even when life itself isn’t particularly pretty.

That’s what this little corner of the internet is about.

The pretty things, absolutely. The pink things, most definitely. But also the people, stories, ideas, celebrations, behind-the-scenes moments, and simple pleasures that make life richer.

Nothing too perfect. Nothing too precious.

Just a reminder that wherever we are and whatever season we’re in, there is almost always something we can do to Make Life Prettier.
